I think Charles was with his sister Mildred in 1861.  I can't find a marraige for mildred (but Free BMD is not complete).  But Charles is lodging with his sister mildred Gammage (Age 22 Born Sheldon).  Her husband Jonah was a 28 year old Fruiterer.  they were living at 6 Wich (?) Street, Birmingahm St Martins.

1841 census shows Thomas Age 25 approx and a Wheelwright, and Maria Age 20 Approx with children Mildred and Elizabeth, living in Sheldon.

In 1861 Elizabeth was a house servant in te Greaves household, 25 Warwick Road, Solihull.  Edward Greaves, head of household was a Master Draper.

To date I have not researched the descendents of Mildred, but I am in contact with Elizabeth's(wife of Edward Price) grand daughter. The family lived in Beeston, Nottinghamshire.
Charles' younger sisters - Francis Maria (Fanny) mar Andrews
Mary mar Sheperd.

Charles married twice-Mary Sale in 1874 and had 9 children
Julia Tarplee in1900 and had 5 children
Mary's offspring:- Walter, Margaret,Robert,Alfred,Stanley,Edith,Harold,Roland and Arthur.
Julia's offspring :- Harry,Donald,Marion,Kathleen and Norah
Charles died in 1924

I am interested in the following two brothers who were both carpenters and emigrated to Australia and New Zealand.  William Bragg bn Sheldon or Berkswell in 1849 and Alfred William Bragg bn Solilhull in 1850.  Both were sons of William Bragg and his wife Johanna Clyma who married in Aston in 1842.  As these brother's have the same occupation as Thomas Bragg - the father of your Charles and localities co-incide - I wonder if you have discovered a connection between these men.  Lorraine
