Havent got a clue ,but their First Child was Born 1854 if that helps and some records, John's Surname written as Silsby

Julie, this looks like it

Cuckfield RD - Oct Qtr 1853 - John Silsbey. 

I used the index and found Jane Chatfield under the same reference, as only two names had been transcribed I then used the same reference in the full index and up pops John!  :)
