may be  i was told by norman James longhursts wife that they came from bucks area but she was getting on at the time and having trouble with her memory due to illness but thanks regards SAM

I KNOW ERIC DIED IN NORTHAMPTON BUT COULD FIND NO RECORED OF HIM BUT I WAS TOLD HE WAS BORN IN BUCKS BUT IT MY BE POSSIBLE HE WAS BORN IN NORTHANTS

I think you have to accept that Eric was born or at least registered in Northants as the MMN is the correct one.

true thanks. but not sure on the census ones John James was normans farther John thomas was John James farther but on that census it down as John g longhurst can u check it not been miss transcribed thanks

I have checked the 1901 census and the middle initial for John does not look the same as the middle intial for Charlotte and James and it certianly looks like a G to me. But you have to remember that the renumerator only goes on what he hears and he could have heard it as a G. The fact the John is the father, Charlotte is the mother and there is a James J is very telling and that they are living in Newport Pagnell. Almost certianly the correct family.

MMN is mothers maiden name. On the birth registers after September Quarter 1911, the mother maiden name is logged.

i have had to bring the longhurst back here as i now found birth for john t longhurst and marriage he was born newport pagnell and married there b 1872 m1892 to Charlotte j teat from SAM  :D
