Hello Jennifer
The Castle Bromwich registers start at 1619 prior to this it came under Aston which is where you need to look. There are copies held at the War.CRO:
http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/Web/corporate/pages.nsf/Links/BC33FF3FC787BCBD80256AA0004E120D
They will look for you.
The originals are held at B'ham library(7th. floor)
Hope this helps
Regards jim

No you don't have to go yourself.they are very helpful but can only look about 1 year each side of the date given same for B'ham Library here:
http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/GenerateContent?CONTENT_ITEM_ID=1543&CONTENT_ITEM_TYPE=0&MENU_ID=10271
They also offer a research service for about £25.
