GRAHAMS - TUDHOE
« on: Wednesday 15 November 06 12:25 GMT (UK) »
Francis Graham married Eleanor Gulliver on 8 Aug 1863 and went to live in Tudhoe, where he was a miner. I can find him or his family in all the censuses until 1891, when his wife is a widow, as she was in 1901. The family probably remained there until after WW1 and I can't locate them until they turn up in The Black Bull in Nettlesworth about 1930. My problem is simple, I can't find on LDS the records for Holy Innocents Tudhoe or Merrington before that (pre 1866). FFHS have tantalising snippets that two Francis Grahams were buried at Holy Innocents in the right period but I can find nothing more. Please can any one help?
Best wishes,
Terry

Hi Terry

What is it you are trying to find - is it a burial for Francis?  You say you have them on all censuses so will have some idea of when he died.  Can you post some of the census details you have and maybe someone can help.

Cheers

Gina

Gina,
I'm trying to find anything that was recorded in BMD for the Graham family in Tudhoe for a period of 60+ years. The father was Francis and there are two infant Francis buried, so it looks like he tried (and failed) to perpetuate his name. Francis (the father) probably died 1890.
