Gunmakers...apprenticeship records
« on: Monday 13 November 06 22:10 GMT (UK) »
If you have rellies with London or Birmingham links to the Gunmakers trade, please see my posting in London Resources. It lists many gun lock filers, journeymen, etc.

It would be nice to hear if this helps anyone.

I recently visited Whitechapel, East London, for any sights related to the gunmaker trade. Sadly, nothing exists, except Chamber Street, off Leman Street, where many pistol filers lived and worked. Some travelled to this area from Darlaston and  Birmingham.
