Hi all,
Just trying to get my head round all this information.

OK,I think David Duggan should be Daniel,as I have Margaret & Daniel Duggan on the 1920 census with James Connors age 15 b/1905

1910 census I have a Margaret head 41 & Daniel bro 32, Mortimer bro 25(all Duggan) & Daniel Mahar nephew 17, at Syracuse Ward 12,

1910 census, Is Larry/James & Nora Connors,& son James age 5 b/NY,
living with Ida Ramish,

Nora connors I have living in Leroy in 1921,again on an Obituary

1921 Obituary Syracuse Herald,for a John Duggan,
Margaret is living at 416 Shonnard st,

Between 1910 & 1920 James Connors (Senior) has died??
which leaves Nora as a house-keeper,

Bingo. I have them in the 1880 census in Otisco, Onondaga County, New York (near Syracuse). Father Daniel Duggan, 42, born Ireland, farmer; wife Margaret, 35, born Ireland, at home; children (all born NY) Mary, 15; Johannah, 14; Margaret, 12; Nora; 10; Patrick, 8; John, 8; Ellen, 7; Daniel, 2; and William, 1 month.

Let me look in the 1900 now. And for James/Larry.  ;D
Sligo: Davey (also Mayo), McCluskey, McNulty
Wexford and Staffordshire: Hayes, McClean
Galway and Staffordshire: Scott

Hi Belle

I had an oops moment with Daniel/David but you should see that I have edited that info, sorry  :-[

Also, I should have made myself more clear...when searching the databases for "James Conn?rs, born NY, 1905 +/- 2" in 1910, I found a James that did fit and on looking further, I saw that he was indexed with "Ida Ramish". On looking at the image, I missed him at first because he certainly wasn't in Ida Ramish's household and in fact was right at the top of the census image. So I moved to the previous image where I found "Larry" and Nora, the details did fit apart from "Larry" which is why I gave you the details.

I must admit that I haven't checked to see how the Connors were indexed as I took the details from the image itself.

Nora in 1920 is widowed and living in the household of William Tobin and working as an Housekeeper. I do try not to infer anything and just put down the details as they are on the image for obvious reasons because I don't want to make assumptions about relationships. In this case, I would think that James senior has died sometime between the census's and Nora would need to have work to support herself, which is possibly why James junior is living with his Uncle and Aunt.

Unfortunately, I do not know of your references to the obituaries and presume that someone has looked these up for you or you have obtained them from the US. Also I didn't look for the Duggan brother's and sister's in the census's, just for Nora and James.

It's good to see that you have the information though  :)  :)

I really hope that I have made things clearer, although I am a little tired and so may well have made things worse  ???  ::)  ;D  ;D

If there is anything else you need, I would be very happy to have a look

Very best wishes

I have Daniel (Nora's brother) in the 1900 census living with the Hurlbut family in Otisco as a servant. Daniel Sr is in Otisco with daughter Margaret, 29,  and grandson Daniel Mahar, 7. Margaret is actually listed as wife, but I think it is daughter.

Patrick and John are living together in the 1900 census in Otisco.

I have a William Duggan in Syracuse in 1900 as a boarder with a Watkins family. I think that accounts for the boys. The girls are harder as they go and get married.  ;D

Now I need to run and be a parent  ::). I will come back to this and the Connors later, unless Agnes finds more.

I have to agree with Agnes. I can't find those Connors. I found this:

Name:     James Connors

Last Residence:    13201  Syracuse, Onondaga, New York, United States
Born:    3 Jun 1904
Died:    Nov 1967
State (Year) SSN issued:    New York (Before 1951 )

It's a long shot, but I thought it could be James Jr.

Hi Kath & Agnes,
Thanks so much for your input, It all looks as if it fits with the family I'm researching, the main branch of this family is the Duggans, its the daughter Nora Duggan b/1869-70 NY I'm looking for who married James Conners & his father Larry or James Connors.

I had a lot of help with the Duggans on a thread I posted last week from Ohio Susan & Peggy, thats where I got the info about the Obituaries
and alot more

The 1930 census for Monica & James & daughter Ellen K (KATHRYN) but what does age 19/12 mean ( these people are definitely mine).
Also the other info seems to fit, the places are right.

just one more thing there is a Mrs Jeremiah Keef (husbands name I think) on two Obituaries (I think her name is Nellie?), she is mentioned as a sister to the Duggan girls in 1953 she must have been born after 1880 as she is not on that census. She is also mentioned in 1962 as having a son The Rev Paul Keef.Is it at all possible that you could do a look up for her, hope I'm not being a pain, MANY THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK.
Belle.  :)
