it seems a shame that no one has claimed it
i found it in a skip in ayrshire
but i have no idea where or who the photo is from or off
i have tried looking at large estate homes on the web but no luck
if someone knows where it is i can send a large file if requested

Unable to help I regret to say. but thanks for giving me an hour of interest. My paternal grandmother came from Ayrshire - my father was born in 1896, and I imagine that photograph is Edwardian?

Have you tried big houses that have been turned into schools? A great many were in those days as the owners could not afford the upkeep.
