Hi
The issue of Army Numbers was change in 1922, so No he will not have the same number in WW1 & WW2. Also if he did serve in WW2, the MOD will still have his service records, here:
Army Personnel Centre
Historic Disclosures
Mailpoint 400
Kentigern House
65 Brown Street
Glasgow
G2 8EX

Tel 0845 600 9663

E-mail disc.civsec@apc.army.mod.uk

You will need a death cert, & £30 for them to have a look for you. It may take up to 6 months.
themonsstar ,
Interesting, That helps and we have a death certif some where .
so hopefully we can gain some additional information him.

Thanks for the address.

you will get both cards for the price of one, they will be on the same sheet.
if he did serve right through, then its possible he kept the same number, his ww2 service record will tell you what his number was, mack

It turned out i had to download both images, but thats no problem.

Thanks again
