Westoe: What a lovely pup and I wonder is you have done the DNA  ;D Descendant of ship owners. But not a sea worthy pup herself. (I hope you roll with laughter)
Kidd and Hutton: Newry, Lancashire
Lee and Thompson: Bishopwearmouth, South Shields
Jones and Thomas: Glamorgan, Carmarthenshire
Wilson: unk, Ireland, York, Ontario
Knox: unk, Scotland, York, Ontario
Salvas Dit Laviolette, Lizotte, Pelletier, Langois: Quebec & France

Finding my Mariner ancestors, I understood why I didn’t bat an eye when I had the chance to work off shore. Of course I said yes, not for long, but long enough, Licensed 1980. (Remember lost and missing 1983 Glomar Java Sea

Eh, lass, you really are dead keen on this DNA business, aren't you. No, they haven't had her DNA done as there is no money left after all her medical bills. She has coped with paraplegia for over 7 years now.

I am sorry that the pup is unwell, but such a fortunate companion. We lost our Lola to a tumor on her face.

This is Lola and I attached her and all our animals to my precious dog I got in Hong Kong as their mother

Oh no, she is not unwell, never think that. She hates to hear anybody say " awwwww, that poor dog" - much prefers to hear "Bravo, survivor dog! You go girl!" She's a normal, boisterous, rambunctious Lab who just happens to be paraplegic. Life really handed her lemons when she was 3 years old, but they didn't sour her. She runs, she swims, she chases rabbits, plays ball and tug-of-war, goes in parades, visits hospitals, fundraises for charity and in general lives life zestfully.

That is wonderful. We finally have a yard and although no fence we have gone back a few years ago to getting rescues who are seniors and long time in doggie jail. But each one has had terrible Cancers and went to heaven, but we have had great times for last days and each has been good company for me, at least I wasn't talking to "myself".

He has so many wonderful records! Thank you for sharing this. We have has a most interesting connection via DNA - of course.

The y-DNA Haplogroup is of the patriarch group R1a (wikipedia has lots of accurate info about the early fathers of a male line) but in the last few hundred years we have had match which would links two surnames of at least one branch of the male Kidd family with a line having the name Leeming.

The thing that adds to the genetics is the two surnames being together in one place and having been talked about together as both living in the same place and the names having similar meanings (according to them)

I hope the link works, I have no idea if I know how to put a link or not.

http://www.davidkidd.net/Early_Kidds_of_Craven.html

But they wrote: "...The three Y-DNA relatives have Anglo-Norse surnames: Kidd, Brandon, Leeming, that mean kindling, burning and gleaming. This suggests their common ancestors was known as something to do with fire:
1. fiery occupation; for example farmers of land cleared by fire; swordsmiths; suppliers of fuel kindling and torches
2. fiery characteristics; for example very red hair or being hot-headed.
3. fiery gods, for example invoking Thor.
The Norwegian Vikings settled here about 900 AD..."

Yes, quite a yarn and maybe a stretch, but lots of fun none the less, Cherie

It was me, Cherie Lynn.  Sorry it couldn't have been a better image.  Very poor Headstone.
