Did Enoch's daughter who became Mrs. Henry Lee have a brother named Joseph Logan? Was there a ship named the "Annie Lee" after her? Did she have another brother, a medical student, who died of tuberculosis?

Yes, Ann Thompson had a brother Joseph (born about 1821, sailmaker in 1841 census).  I don't know if he was called Joseph Logan Thompson, but as his mother's maiden name was Logan, this is quite probable!  I don't know the answers to your other questions, but it suggests you do!

Excellent stuff - yes, I had found the old bailey proceedings, but without Westoe's intervention, I wouldn't have checked on Jospeh Logan thompson.

Don't know about the Henzells Tates and Snowdons (except now that Joseph Logan Thompson married Alice Snowdon) but Annie Lee nee Thompson is a direct antecedent of my mate (who is a Lee).

In the archives of Sunderland Antiquarian Society there is a single-sheet document dated 2nd January 1792 headed  "Unanimous Association".  This lists 73 South Shields vessele giving the Owner's Name, the name of the vessel and Master and the burthern in keels.

Entry No 51 is for the vessel 'John and Robert' owned by John Thompson, having a burthern of 18 keels and Henry Elliott as master.
