Welcome to RootsChat Tomo,

Did Phillip and Jane marry in 1885? Did he die in 1885?

Chris

Going through older posts and came across this one. By now you might have been able to find more information but if you haven't done so the following might be of interest.

Phillip Williamson's marriage certificate should list his father's name and occupation.

Phillip Williamson's birth certificate should list the names of both parents (unless illegitimate, in which case only mother's name will appear) and will also list the exact place (townland) of his birth.

Where did Phillip's marriage take place? If he wasn't born in Ireland where else might he and any siblings have been born?

Always best to start with what you do know and work back in stages. If your father's birth certificate no longer available I take it that he wasn't born in Ireland? Was Phillip his father or grandfather? in which case approxiamately when would the family have left Ireland and what country did they go to?
