Found this gentleman in Griffiths Valuation 1848-1864. How do I find more about him. I'm missing a greatx2 grandfather of that name.All input appreciated

 Hi Fraz have you also tried www.leitrim-roscommon.com the 1901 census is complete for Mayo on that site.

              Yes. went there too and saw them. Also, there's a Dominick in the 1901 census for Mayo.Trouble is, I'm intent on working backwards rather than forwards. I want Dominick in Griffiths valuation to be the father of my great grandfather also named Dominick Griffin b 1825. My GG moved to Hull, Yorkshire around 1850 where most of his descendants still live. All I know about my GG's origins is that he came from Ireland. I know his father (Dom the elder) was a tailor, and that's it
