Coker sometimes Coaker of North Marston area.

I link into a North Marston family with Sarah Coker who married James Tattum 3 May 1720.

Her parents were Henry Coker and Ann Brewer

Henry was son of John Coker born 1621 and Ann

John was son of John Coker born 1589 who married Alice Grace born 1589.  They had a further daughter Alice Coker born 1631.

I haven't done very much with this family beyond the above rough notes.

I have Sarah Coker marrying James Tattum but I can't find her parents (or his?). Have you got your info from the parish records?

I also note you are interested in Culverhouse. I have Sarah Culverhouse, c1808, Egginton, father Thomas - I know of a Thomas that is NOT her father, because of conflicting dates, but I have no confirmation of her father.

Tough one.
IGI has 3 submitted entries  saying Sarah Coker was born in 1700...it would mean she was about 80 when she died as she was buried 26 Jan 1780 in North Marston.
No one seems to be able to find a date for her birth, I haven't yet, and I have a copy of the North Marston Baptism. Problem with the North Marston Registers...at some time someone must have had a guilty secret, because handfulls of pages have been torn out...before they got to the Bishop...so much of it is lost.

Heather Rohrer gives her parents as Henry Coker and Ann Brewer, though I can only guess that she came to that conclusion because they were a Coker family that were married in North Marston 10 Nov 1680.

Heather also gives the birth date of 7 Nov 1697 for the birth of James Tattam, but in my copy of the Registers, that is the birth date of William Tattam, son of Richard and Sarah
Confusing, isn't it.

I had forgotten this little problem, I must go back and have a look at it.
