Sabiston's Of Orkney Islands

There is a Sabiston Lake near Savona that was more than likely named after him. There were a few James around the same as John and Peter.

The first bunch that came over went to North Carolina and a few went to Victoria, BC and the rest to Manitoba. The second bunch including our John came over next and started his family in Manitoba eventually settling in Saskatchewan.

Just joined RootsChat and saw your postings.  I'm currently working on the Sabiston side of my family.  I've gone through various sites and created a spreadsheet of every Sabiston that I could find listed ... and there's a lot of them.  Now I'm trying to connect the dots and determine relationships between all the individuals, looking for links into my know relatives which I have traced back to ~1627 in Birsay, Orkney.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm just not sure where to begin.

I have researched the Sabiston line extensively but mostly for my close Sabiston line from Orkney to Canada. I would be very happy to assist you with your research.

Can you give me some back ground on your Sabiston line, omiting personal information for the living of course.

Wow..... that is quite the back ground.

Your line is not a direct line to my Sabiston's but however distant related like all Sabiston's from Orkney.

I can check through my files and see if I have any reports on this line that would be helpfull to you and let you know what I find.

What exactly are you looking for? Where are all these people to have resided? Which country are you researching in to find your line of Sabiston descendants?

Thanks for the info on your family line, you seem to have your research under control.

I will post you on the email side of RootsChat and give you my home email address. I would like to keep in touch in case we do find the link to the Sabiston families. I also have a contact in the UK that is doing a one name study on the Sabiston's which you may be interested in. He has most Sabiston's recorded from the Orkney and has all the census's.
