Yes, I recognise some of the street names.  For instance

13 Arbroath Road - not too far from Blackscroft, it begins at the junction of Albert Street.

12 Dudcotes Pl, I think should be Dudhope Place  - near Dudhope Castle

Nelson Street - is across the Tay river, not sure but I think its called Newport-on-Tay now, or might even be Tayport.

49 Gellatly Street (corrected) is central. It  has a big enclosed car park there nowadays. ( see car park 10 on map)

Can't think of a Pudheper Street, perhaps someone else will think of it.  There's a Hepburn Street or Peddie Street, springs to mind with me.

137 Seagate is possibly across the road on the odd side.

There is still a Lorimer Street at the West End of city.

I think the last street should read Wedderburn, which is in the north part of the town and is still there.

The Wellgate Library is situated on the top floor of the Wellgate Centre (see the City Centre Map).  You will find the staff are very helpful.  There is also computers, usually best to book these too, if necessary.

Just thought I'd mention a large cemetery at the west end of town called Balgay cemetery.  I think it should be on the old map I sent you. You can either reach it from travelling up Blackness Road. Or, travel from town along the Perth Road, turn up to the right on reaching Glamis Road and the cemetery is at the top. 
However, perhaps it is best to check out some of the links I sent in a pm to you, ie the burial records, rather than aimlessly searching through a huge necropolis.

Great photos Scotmum

You can't get the same feel for what it looked like with all the old buildings gone, so it was good to see the photos to bring back the perspective.  The photo of the modern building taken earlier today was taken from the position between the lamp and barrow on your This picture.

Jim, I gave you a bum steer on the placing of Lorimer Street.  It is actually to the North of the city, just beyond an area known as The Hilltown.  It is also quite near to Wedderburn Place. Both quite closeby Dundee Law.

Hi My family also lived in Blackscroft. Murphys living at 45 Blackscroft & Ramsays / McLeods living at 40 Blackscroft (at least in 1952). Any help would be great.

The parish of Liff and Benvie came right into what is now the western part of Dundee - for example the Perth Road, so your people are probably not buried outside of the city.

Balgay, Western Necropolis, Lochee road cemetery, St Peter's (Perth road), Constitution Road cemetery (records exist but was built over)
