Help!
Does anyone have any info on Stephen Bevan / Beavan d. 1850 Bristol?
He married an Ann Morgan, and had a son, Edwin Verry Bevan. Would be grateful for any help please.

Stephen Beaven,47,Shoemaker,N.
Ann Beaven,49,N.
John Beaven,18,Y.

Where did Stephen and Ann marry and who were witnesses do you know?
Guess youre trying to find out where Stephen was born ?Why do you think he was born in Wales?Have you any other info on Stephen?
Let me know and ill see if i can find anything.

Hi Welsh Lady, My stumbling block is Stephen's marriage to Ann Morgan and his birth, I have his date of death as 1850 so am guessing his birth was c. 1794. The census showed Stephen and Ann being born outside England so (guesswork again with the surnames Bevan and Morgan) Wales is probably the best option to start looking.

This is the family, Edwin Verry Bevan is my husbands ggg Grandfather, they are all at Redcliffe - or very near to this day. Edwin's line are mostly related with maritime occupations, we have Cordwainers, Sail Makers and Captains of Coal boats to date.

Hiya in the 1841 census the Yes or No just means they were or were not Born in The County where the census took place. So all it tells you is Stephen wasnt born in Gloucestershire doesnt mean he wasnt born in England.
Hope that clears that up for you.

I know Stephen has passed by 1851 have you got Ann in the 1851 census to see where she was born?

Best Wishes Welsh Lady
