census records usa

Hi Everyone
Just a silly question really. If someone was supposed to be living in a nunnery ( a child ) what would they be down as in the 1910 us census. Would it be an inmate, boarder, lodger or what? Does someone out there know. or experienced this on their own trees.
Very confusing, and very frustraiting.
Thanks Tracy

I think it depends on the enumerator. I have seen some as nun for occupation or convent sister or just a boarder.

I recently came across a family living in "Mooseheart", Batavia, Illinois. The mother was listed separately from the children and was listed as a "boarder". The children were listed with all the other children and were listed as "ward".---Genealiza
