Hello,
I am looking for for the parents of Edwin Hooper, born between 1828 and 1832 in Devonshire. Edwin imigrated out to Australia, Tasmania where he died in 1900.

hello there are 6 Edwin Hoopers born between 1826-32 on the 41 census in Devon.

Do you have any more information on Edwin?

Hi Pam,
Sorry that is all I have. The only clue I can additional add is a sibbling named Ernest. Now that is taken from an obscure census record in Tasmania but it is all I can give. Thankyou.

Hello cannot find a Edwin with an Ernest on the 41 0r 51 what year did he emigrate?

Hi Pam,
Edwin I think came out in 1842-12-09, this is the only Edwin that I can find, arriving in Tasmania, the other twenty odd years later, that does not fit the equation.
Yes Earnest was a long shot. he appeared along with Edwins name on census record but none of the family have ever heard of him.

Hi Matt, I live in the UK and am descended from Edwin's brother George. He was born Somerset not Devon (I have definitive proof of this) and have various details about the family. Please get in touch . Sue
