I am interested in West Coker families - Bird and Rendal (Rendell).
Ann Bird was baptised 1792, and her son George was born in/before 1815. Her father, Willaim Bird married Grace Fry on 30 Sept 1773 in West Coker.
Ann Rendall married the above George Bird on 11 Oct 1846, in Yeovil. Her father was Giles Rendell, a labourer (deceased at the time of her marriage). An Ann Rendell was born 10 Sept 1814, to Giles and Mary Rendell, who we believe were the same Giles and Mary married 29 Nov 1813.
We know there were at least 2 Giles Rendalls, as one was listed as a witness at the other one's marriage in 1813... and there may be 3 of them, or one of them was married more than once: to Jane Rendell (1818?)and Mary Rendall (1813).
Can anyone help us sort out the Giles Rendells?
Mary Rendle, who was married to Giles Rendell, could be the Mary baptised on 8 July 1787, whose parents were Abraham Rendle and Ann Penny.
Do these names mean anything to you?
