Hi Chris,

I would like to accept your generous offer for a look up if I am not too late.

Some time ago kind rootschatters found a marriage for me for Thomas Walker and Sarah Raper, who I believed were the parents of my GG grandmother Frances Walker. The marriage was on 7/3/1835 in Etchingham, and the licence was granted on 6/3/1835 in the Archdeaconry of Lewes  -  SRS26. Against Sarahs name the index said otsp ( no father, mother or guardian.

I have the family together in 1851 & 1841 and later have Frances marriage in Wilts, but now I have finally been able to get a copy of Frances birth cert ( reg as Fanny to confuse me ) it shows her mother as Ann Walker nee Raper. All other details match.

Its possible Sarah was Sarah Ann or Ann Sarah, but all records I have show her as Sarah, so I was hoping that there may be some additional info on the licence to help resolve it. Sarah was born Rochford Essex, and I have also requested a baptism look up on the Essex board but no results yet.

Hope its not too much trouble

Had a quick look at the Burial Register and niether Sarah Ann or Hannah appear in it at St John Sub Castro.

Did you know that there is a memorial stone in Sub Castro to some of the children of Samuel & Sarah Ann, Do you have details of it and / or a photograph.

Will provide you with details if required

Hi,

I have searched on the GRO indexes for the following marriage with no luck.

I would be grateful if you could look it up in the parish registers during your forthcoming trip.

Marriage took place between 1867 and 1870 in either Friston or Uckfield, although pretty sure it would be Friston.

Groom: William (Willie) Simmons
Bride: Elizabeth Cooley
Brides Father: James Cooley

Many Thanks

SuzyWoo

Hi Chris  :)

If you have time  (???), I would be grateful if you could look up the birth register for ALBERT GEORGE BOYS born in Alciston in 1872.

I'm interested in checking who his parents were if poss.

Many thanks for your kind offer!

Hi Chris,

Just a gentle reminder, as suggested, do you have the Burtenshaw Papers ordered for your trip on the 23rd?

Looks as though it is going to be full on for the day for you!

Regards,
