Hi George Page15

Your lookup request seems to be a very hit and miss affair; like looking for a needle in a haystack.

You do not state where in Sussex she may have died, or even if she died in Sussex.  Where did her mother die in 1918.

From past experience of the record office, records for the 20th century are few and far between.

Will add it to the list, but this one could be very time consuming and will have to wait till I have completed all of the others.

Hi George

Well, what can I say

I spent over two years surveying, transcribing and photographing all the stones in St John Sub Castro Churchyard.

I also transcribed both the Burial Registers and the Baptism Registers for that church and there are some 30+ burials for page including

Burial - 1918 January 21, Page Sarah Ann, f, of 28 Valence Rd, Lewes, aged 77years.

can I help your research by looking for any other named pages in either register ?

Hello Chris. I posted a request for a look-up of a marriage. You have since replied and as that marriage appears not to have taken place in Sussex I assume you will cancel that request. However I do have a marriage of THOMAS HIDE/HYDE to SARAH ??  1732 if you could possible look for that I would appreciate it. Thankyou Kesannah.

Sorry Chris/Kesannah

Can I butt in here?

Thomas Hyde married Sarah Page on 27 December 1732 at Hastings All Saints.

I had the SMi in the computer!  ::)

Kerry, Thankyou so very much. That confirms info I had. Just need to find his parents marriage (wherever it took place) now and that will take me back a generation. Looks as if I shall now have to look beyond Sussex for them.
