I dont  know  if  the parents came  to Australia

but  here  are  two deaths  that  may be applicable

Thomas William Stannard  died 1983 Geelong reg no 03622
parents listed as John Thomas He  and Mary

Stannard Ellen died 1985 Geelong reg no 14741 parents U Wirigglesworth and Fanny

Inaddition to Jenn's finds there, I can see 2 other burials by the name Stannard at Geelong cemeteries- making 4 all together.

George 1970
Rebecca 1941
Thomas William 1983

Thank you Jen, Sue and everyone.  Yes Thomas and Ellen Stannard were Doreen's parents.  Ellen met Tom Stannard in England and came out with him to Australia after marrying him in England.  Yes, Ellen's mother was Fanny Clarkson, her father was Joseph Wigglesworth (illegitimacy).  Anyway, Doreen was born in Victoria, just would like to know when.  Have had no joy so far in trying to find out, but will keep trying.  Thank you for your help.

Raels thank you very much for the offer of photos, and yes, that would be lovely, thank you so much.  Cannot make out who Rebecca is, but it might say on the grave.  I know they had a son George and if the George in the grave is him, he must have died quite young, as he pre-deceased them by the looks of it.  Thank you again.

Hi Raels.

I think the only 2 graves I am sure of and interested in are:-
Ellen Stanard who died 1985 and Thomas William Stannard who died 1983.  I am not too sure about George and Rebecca - they may be totally unrelated to me, just cannot be sure.  I do know that Ellen was related for definite and that her husband was Thomas William, so would love a photo if at all possible, but don't go out of your way to get one. Thank you once again.

There is a digital war service file on the National Archives site for George, he came from Tatura at the time, his father is Thomas William Stannard.  It says he was born Camperdown.
