Australian birth

Hi everyone.  I need to find a birth in the state of Victoria, Australia.  Is it possible to do this on-line?  Not sure of the year though - at a guess it is somewhere between 1920 and 1930.  Thanks.

Thank you Raels.  The child's name was Doreen Stannard.  Parents Ellen and Tom Stannard.  Possibly born Queenscliffe in Victoria.  Not sure when though, but must be between 1920 and 1930.  Sorry to be so vague, but haven't a lot to go on.

By the way I live not far from there. I am in Geelong
Queenscliff is about 15 minutes away

Hi Silas,
Just checked my disc's but was unable to find an entry my disc's only go to 1920
all so checked vic deaths for 1920-1985 no entry there either...sorry

have you tried the vic BDM site you can look for an entry there by searching but it is a pay by view site

this is the Victorian Births, Deaths & Marriages web site, you can search for births only up until 1924 - then privacy laws kick in.  It is free to search but costs 99 cents to look at a page of results.
