grandparents burials
« on: Tuesday 24 October 06 21:27 BST (UK) »
i am trying to find where my grand parents are buried in dublin.  my grandmother was Mrs Esther Sheridan ( nee..Kinghorn) she was born in 1900 probably at the Coombe maternity hospital. she died at home at 15 coombe street Dublin in 1949 of coronary thrombosis.
i have her death certificate.
Her husband was a soldier called John Sheridan, i dont know where or when he was born. but he died of injurys caused by a bomb blast sometime between 1939 and 1945.
ide just like to know where there buried so i can pay my respects.

All of my family are from that area also. and I know that they and nearly all oftheir neighbours are mostly buried in Mount Jerome, Harolds Cross.

Dublin City Library holds microfilm copies of the burial registers for all burials at Mount Jerome 1836 to 1972.

I wouldn't say your luck is running out, but unfortunately there is only so far the internet will take you when it comes to Irish Genealogy.
