that would be great if you are sure it's not too much trouble for you.

No trouble at all.

I think all marriages and burials had to be done by C of E churches or have a regsitrar present and non conformists churches had no legal right to do so. Might be worth a new post to confirm. But I am sure that is the case. St Marys was C of E incidentally.

I have looked at Amersham Baptisms for Catherine Toms and she is not there. As she puts out of County on the 1841 census and a check on the 1861 says she was born London, I am not surprised ( Should have checked that first) But there are several children to John and Mary Toms so looks like they are not her parents.

There is a burial for John Ainsworth 26/3/1834 in Amersham and logged at The meeting House - aged 67. So could be a relative.

When I was looking at the meeting house births, I recall that on some occassions they logged the parents of the mother. So I checked the birth of one of the children and Dorcas was the daughter of Sarah & David Beamsley .

Hope this helps

Hi Jo.
Thanks again for all the  help you have given me,I never imagined I would get a response like this when I posted that request then asked you the question about Baptist records, I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it. You have sent me so much information that I know I could not possibly have got without you and I mean that.
