« on: Sunday 22 October 06 15:02 BST (UK) »
Can anyone find either of the above names on  any of the following  census  years1841/1851/1861/1871.....1891 ...
I have this family related to both spellings, and places range from 21 Salisbury St Everton area ,Langsdale St Everton...also is the ecc. district of Stanley/st Annes covering this area.

Some research shows Hurst St nr to Canning St Liverpool  and Swan Street for the same family
Would welcome some help please.

Looking for John Fahey/Fay son of John

Hi Letty,
what exactly are you looking for?
All Faheys/ Fays? Just the areas you mention? When do you expect John son of John to be there? 1841- 1891 covers many years for a possible entry.

I am sure you will have seen the 1881 with a John Fahey (12 yrs)  son of John living in Clare Street, St Annes parish. The info does say Islington district which, in my very limited knowledge of Liverpool is perhaps not in the areas you are mentioning.
best wishes
heywood

hi letty/heywood...islington is at the very beginning of st anne st,....st anne st starts off islington...so although a boundary for st annes/islington ..the islington may well be the area of clare st...langsdale st is about 2-3 miles away north towards evertons football ground..regards...allan

I was wondering if the Clare St Fahey, were the ones from Langsdale St, what do you have for Langsdale please?

Hi Allan...this is very possible  that they lived in this area, because my grandparents lived in Copperas Hill just after they got married, my mum was born there, and this doesnt look far from those places. Thanks Alan I will see if I can get any church info from around those parts. Sheila

I am sure they are:

RG12; Piece: 2943; Folio 24; Page 42

27 Langsdale Street Everton
John Fahey  48 yrs  labourer in gas works  b Ireland
Mary    46 yrs  b Ireland
Mary  18 yrs  book folder  b Ireland
Anne  15 yrs  cigar maker  b Ireland
Henry  12 yrs b Liverpool
Cecilia  10 yrs b Liverpool
Margaret 8 yrs b Liverpool

I noticed in 1881 that only Henry (transcribed as Harry) and Cecilia were born Liverpool - all others including John born Ireland, so you won't find them before 1881 on the census.
regards
