Well done, a great idea  :D

I would love to find out any info on the Montgomery and Martin names living at 22 Matilda St. Is it possible to tell when they first move there? Should be Hugh and Mary Montgomery then Hugh and Mary Martin.
Thank You for the offer

Hiya Karen,

Your ancestors were not at 22, Matilda Street in 1880.
It should be possible to tell when they moved there to within 12 months as the
information for the directories would be gathered during the preceeding year.

All the Best, Christoper

Hi there everyone ,
This is my first request for a St Directory look up so i'm hoping someone can help. If anyone would have a 1912 street directory and could look  and see if there is a James Doyle in the Pound Loney area of Belfast . Some of the Streets are Cullingtree road, Cinnamond st, Milford st , Pound st, there are alot of streets running off these streets so i'm not sure of the rest.Sorry I do'nt have a street, just the area. Many thanks in anticipation of any help received.

Hello Anthony,

This is my first post on this board as I would really appreciate some help with street directory lookups.

Please could you check who was living at 28 Dock St, Belfast in your 1896 directory - I believe my great-grandparents (Robert Scott and Abigail Irvine) were at that address in 1894.

Also, please could you check your Belfast 1884 directory for who was at 61 Hanna St.
I believe my great-grandmother  (Selina McCay) was born there in 1883, but in the 1880 Belfast street directory on Mary Lennon's website, a Mary Jane Cunningham is listed as living there and I don't recognise the name at all.

Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Julie

Thanks for your reply, Anthony.

Of course, I forgot the street directories only mention the head of household - correct? Where would I find a record of the other occupants? My great-grandmother, Abigail, was a widow with a few kids when she married Robert Scott. Is there a surviving census for Belfast around 1895-1900?

Also, could you possibly check 61 Hanna St, in 1884 for me.

Thanks very much,
Julie
