Whats happened to Anthony?   ???

I've heard from Anthony that both he and Kate have been banned from the site. I feel it's a bit drastic. They are a vital part of the team that post on the boards covered by the Directories of Belfast and Ulster.
Most of the Directories that Anthony and Kate own cover an extremely important part of the period that many of the Forum members are researching ... ie the early 1800s to 1920. As far as I'm aware Mary Lennon's Look-Ups site does not have the same range of directories covering that particular period in Irish history. The situation will improve when the Public Record Office get some of their collection online but at the moment I don't know when that may occur. Members requiring look ups from the early 1800s to the 1920s are welcome to post on Belfast Forum where I think you'll probably find an old friend and his wife with their directories. I'll be replying to queries on the boards here from the Central Library or from PRONI. I've access to PCs and Directories in both those places.

Hi Collette & Christopher.

Templar Knight here or is it, well its not, its Anthony came in by the back Door.

This will get me Banned for life but i can't tell a Lie.

Told Kate that i was on rootschat as Templar Knight she not happy, Kate says I,am not T/Knight am Anthony she says it would be better to be Banned from rootschat than tell a Lie who i am.

I told Kate to say notthing no one will know she says she will, so thats good enough for me.

Kate says if i get back on rootschat it will be as Anthony or not at all.

So rootschat I,am asking can i come back as Anthony.

                                    Good luck everyone

Hei Man,

Glad to see your post.

All I can say is we all need you. We may have occasional slight differences of opinion but sure that happens in any family and to the majority of us RootsChat is like one big family. I don't understand this banning business. There are some families that used to ban the young ones who married beneath their social status or married a person of a different denomination. The Royal Family banned Fergie and Princess Di but that family are slightly odd anyway. Imagine banning people in public ... families doing such a thing only make an utter laughing stock of themselves by doing that ... the Royal Family only helped strengthen the feelings of a large number of the general public toward the Princess.

Hi Anthony you are sorely missed. I still dont know why you were banned or what you of all people could have done to warrant such punishment  ??? :(
I have only known you to be most helpful curteous and a true gentleman.

God bless you Anthony and Good luck.

Hi Teap78 & Templar Knight and Others!

I think it is a bit strange that I got the e-mail notification for this post as I can see no posting from me here.

Will have to turn it off or shall I add one wee request or two here?? I shall think on it for a bit!  ;D

Welcome back, Templar Knight!! Your contributions are invaluable to many of us! Do keep contributing to to Co Antrim/Belfast Rootschat!

Teap78, hope all is well with you and yours! :)

Cheers,

Tees

Click here to learn about the street directories covering the years 1819 to 1900 that PRONI have now put online. These directories consist of original volumes held by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland.

Directories not available on PRONI site at the moment

Good find.

I've found an elusive 'Nutter' already  ;D.
