Hiya chris as far as i know mineral street is still there its of York Road and backs onto the M2

Map of:  Mineral St, Belfast BT15 3

link to maps.msn.com

Gee Thanks Colette,

Your usual rapid service with a smile. That map is interesting although it takes a few seconds to learn how to steer it. I noticed you were off line for a while. Did you take your son to school ???

It is a long time since your directory mentioning the Murdocks was published but nothing beats a try so I will give it a go and take the bus to Belfast then another to Mineral Street to see if we can help Jena.

All the Best, Chris

The wee school bus comes for my son, unless the snow is on the ground then it fails to arrive, and i get ready and drive him to school apart from that i just get him up and sorted breakfast etc. I was making a big pot of Stew its been plumping away since 8.30am.

So Chris what are you going to say when you get to 35 Mineral Street
maybe you should check the address in the phone book and ring them first?
before  you go get 2 bus'es.

oh and my directory is 1969  ;D

 :D Colette,

I know your directory is 1969 :D
I looked at http://www.192.com/search/search.cfm and Murdock is not mentioned. Maybe it is not such a bright idea to go. I have a bus pass so I do not pay to travel on buses. Maybe it would be a better idea for Jena to put an ad in the Belfast Telegraph seeking living relatives. If that does not produce a reply then try calling at Mineral Street.

Yep i think it would be a better Idea than you going to mineral Street i can see you taking at least an hour to get there then no one answers the door
or if they do answer look at you strangely and say no one of that name here.

maybe the Murdocks old neighbours are in the phone book for mineral street? they might know something?

Maybe Colette, but you did not mention them did you ???
Could you post the names of some of the other names in the directory and I will see if I can find phone numbers for them. It might be an idea to PM them to me. Chris

so i will just call you 2 C&A lol. Talking of C & A do you remember that big store. think it closed about 1985.

Now down to business C did you find any of those names at the addresses i gave you in the phone book?

i checked that 192 directory thing i was a bit lost it was electorial rolls i think but any how i did every name in the street except those i gave you and i only got 1 hit at number 45 might be a good one only 5 doors away. from Murdocks old house.
