Hei Colette,

Have you mentioned Tom William's name in an earlier message ??? I assume he was the soldier. Do you know more about Tom ??? Were James and Tom friends before Tom joined the Army ??? It is these little snippets from the history of a family that makes genealogy so interesting.

I hope you are keeping well and have been having a pleasant weekend.
Hasn't it been a beautiful day today.

All the Best, Chris

Hiya Colette,

You have me chewing over this one all right. I wonder how many graves, like the one at the bottom of Milltown Cemetery,  contain the bodies of best friends one an IRA man and the other a British soldier. I imagine there may not be another one like it in Ireland.

All the Best,

Chris

Morning Chris, James son Thomas (named after my Grand Father) and Thomas son James (notice the repeat of the names?) know where the grave is they said if i want they can take me to it, think I'll wait until they can gave me a Date for John Doyles death then i can find out where he is buried and visit both at the same time.

Hello Anthony, Henry Quinn maybe the son of Harry?
Harry was dead by 1946, I know James Doyle lived in 8 Rodney Drive in 1934 so i must look at that year (maybe Before) up to 1946 for Harry Quinn.

Thankyou for looking   :)

Hi Jena,
Yes there is a Mrs sarah Murdock listed at 35 Mineral Street.

hope this helps

good luck :)

Good Morning to you Colette,

I wish I had a more up to date street directory, well at least another one besides the 1852 one which I keep borrowing from the library. That would enable me to do more look ups.

Where is Mineral Street ??? The 1852 directory does not show it. Is Mineral Street still in existence or has it been redeveloped ??? Would it be out of the question for me or another RootsChat searcher to go to there and see if anyone knows of the Murdocks ??? There is a lengthy list of Murdocks in the Phone Book for Northern Ireland 2003, several Ms but no Mary.

All the Best, Chris
