Hi Colette,

How are you this fine morning.? I have been looking for May Street Presbyterian Church. I am trying to establish whether Thomas H. Brown of Chichester Street was a member of the congregation there http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,66674.0.html

May Street Prespyterian is supposed to have a mention somewhere in the article on this site http://www.gotobelfast.com/downloads/2004%20CHeritageMap_Inside13.pdf I've not had much luck spotting it so far although
I did spot the Belfast Corporation owned Milltown Cemetery which you mentioned in in your message on 31st January.

Milltown Cemetery was opened in 1872. The architect was Timothy Hevey. He designed the ornamental gates and a large Celtic Cross dedicated to Rev Clarke and Rev Cavanan

Good Morning to you too Chris, Thankyou for the info on Milltown, Im still waiting on my mums cousin getting in touch with his older brother in the States to find out when my Grt Grandfather John Doyle died as you know he remarried after his wife died and must have passed on the deeds of the grave to his eldest son James who buried his Daughter and son (John Doyle shot dead at 10 Brittons Drive 1944) and little Grandson in 1945. now i found out James died in 1945-46 but isnt buried in the grave,
he is buried with his best friend a british soilder at the bottom of milltown ( the IRA man and British Soilder buried together).
So now im waiting on seamus Doyle in the states letting his bro Thomas know when their Grandfather John Doyle died
as far as im aware he is also buried in Milltown.

more for you to chew on lol

Good Afternoon to you Colette,

I love your anecdote about the IRA man and the British soldier being best friends and being buried together. Just as well you did not say it was a PIRA man and a British soldier. If that had been the case I might have died from the shock of reading such a story and required burial too lol.

I owe you an apology Colette. I omitted to congratulate you on posting 200 messages. Keep going. Reading your messages always brightens the day.

All the Best, Chris
