have you got them on the (1881) census - or are you just focussing on finding a marriage ?


Thos Snr is widowered in 1881 - 'Gentleman, formerly Coach Builder'

In 1871, in Colchester, theres just him 'Living on Property' and wife Mary Ann, born 1833, Nayland.

The marriage is not on FreeBMD. Marriages on Freebmd are nearly complete for the time frame 1881 (when we know they weren't married) - 1909. 

The only years that are not complete are 1886, 1887, and 1888
