Faulkner families in SA
« on: Friday 20 October 06 11:22 BST (UK) »
Thomas Faulkner died 24/4/1917 and Judith his wife died 28/5/1893 (poisoned herself).
Could someone please supply me with any issue to this couple.  Thomas was a store keeper, and possible son is William b c 1860, and John James Faulkner no info, just his name listed on lands title.
Thanks
Evie

There are three children's births registered but the mother's name is recorded as Julia OBRIEN on all three.  These are the only ones in South Australia.

27 Jun 1865 John
18 Jul 1867 Elizabeth
17 Aug 1869 Michael

Michael has died 1873, Farrells Flat, aged 4
His mother's death is also recorded as Julia - not Judith - 1893, aged 59, Yarcowie

So it appears that Judith was a mistake on the marriage registration.  Which is odd - as I have one exactly the same! in Melbourne, my Julia's marriage was recorded as Judith and since she couldn't write she didn't notice.

I'll look in Victoria for earlier births.

No births or deaths of children found in Victoria to 1888.
You are able to check NSW and WA online yourself.
