Hello Janette......

It would appear , that George , the eldest son of Henry and Eliza , was born c1835.......this would mean that his parents were married prior to that . It was not until 1837 , that a marriage had to be registered by law .........

I have looked on the Mormon site , and there is nothing at all recorded , for Henry and Eliza.......

As they were both born and bred in Huddersfield , it may be woth getting in touch , with family history section of Huddersfield library . They will probably hold Parish Records ......

Email address is

hudlib.localhist@kirklees.gov.uk

I have found , in the past , library staff to be very helpful . There may be a small charge , if a search takes longer than half an hour

Give as much info as you can . would think that the married about 1833/34 possibly in the Agbrigg area

Hope this helps

I'm not sure which society has adopted agbrigg. It doesn't appear to the the hudds society.

Thanks for the information, I will give them a ring, unless I manage to get over to Huddersfield library myself, to check it out.

I'm late coming to this thread. There is a One Name Study for the name of IREDALE - you can contact the study holder by emailing iredale@one-name.org

Edit - (there is usually a facility via the GOONS web page (http://www.one-name.org) to contact study holders, but due to technical issues this has been removed, so I have included the email above, by removing the email there is no way for a non GOON to contact the study holder!)

Julie
