New Here.......

Hi

New here !! I've been doing genealogy for a while now but had not be aware of this site until I met up with someone through Genes Reunited. I'm a South Aussie Girl but have my roots throughout most of the UK. Ireland, England and Wales with family members from many counties including strong ties to Middlesex, Cornwall and Yorkshire. I must say the Cornwall ties are very strong as I've always been drawn to The Copper Triangle here in SA which is where ALOT of Cornish settlers... Well, settled. I had no idea why I loved the area so much as a child or wanted to move out that way (which I've never done) as an adult but as I've gone into the family history I can clearly see the connection.


Anyway just thought I'd introduce myself.

A Big Welcome to RootsChat. I am pleased you have found us. We will do our best to help you.  I am looking forward to reading your posts. With your interests we will be bound to meet on the Cornwall Board or the Emigrants to Australia Board at least. 

Be sure to check out all the great links provided on all the boards. I have posted some wonderful links for Cornwall and South Australia myself and others have posted some great links for your other places of interest.

You will find a lot of friendly, very helpful people out there, so have a good look about and start posting.

Pels, I'm sure your family member will enjoy himself here and that Aussies will be (fairly) nice to him!!!    But not where the Ashes are concerned.  We mean to take them back, you know!!
