Hi everybody, am new to this!
I also have a Tearle in the family tree. A Sarah Tearle born c1818 her father was Thomas Tearle. She was born in Kemptson and married an Amos Webb in Luton they had a son William. She died before 1840., as Amos married another Sarah then.

Welcome to Rootschat

I think you're mixing the two Sarahs. It was the second Sarah, Haynes, who was born on 27 Oct 1818 at Kempston, Beds, parents Thomas and Elizabeth.

Sarah Tearle would have been born earlier than 1818 to have married in 1832, and there are no Tearles in Kempston. The question is, who was she? I can't find her burial 1832-40, nor a death 1837-40. As there were no other children I suspect she may have died nearer to 1833 than 1840. The family appears to have been non-conformist so perhaps Sarah Tearle wasn't baptised at all in the established church. No obvious baptism or burial is going to make it difficult. Have you checked the 1832 marriage to see what other detail is included eg parish of residence and witnesses?

David

:DThanks bedfordshire boy, My data base software has read both Sarahs as the same person so filled in birth dates where I had none.
In the 1851 census there is an Ann Tearle living with Amos Webb and his family. She is listed as a neice age 24 born Wheathamstead Hertfordshire. On her birth and christening records she is the daughter of George Tearle of Tebworthy Chalgrave Bedfordshire and Elizabeth daughter of Thomas and Ann Willison born 27/3/1826 christened 23/4/1826. I suspect George was the brother of Sarah.
Sarah was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah. Yes they were non-conformist. I have not been able to find the record of there marriage just the christening records of Amos' children. It is all difficult from Australia.
