looking for any information concerning the Scott family
of Stratford St Mary, Suffolk.

The earliest date I have is a Marriage between Mr Robert Scott and Miss Priscilla Smith in Layham for 1729.
Also interested in Gusterson/Waller/Steff/Death Surnames.

                I have the Death family as part of my tree. Particularly the three sisters Caroline, Charlotte & Harriet Death. They link into the Wilden / Wilding family heavily, in Suffolk.

I also have the same information for the Scotts of SSM and cant get back further than 1729. Have been trying to find the birth place of Robert Scott for years. Any ideas? My gt gt grandfather was Walter Scott, born in SSM in 1837.

Don't know if this any help.
I could remember a thread asking about a Robert Scott when I was in the suffolk records office looking for my ancestors.
Entry in 1837 Marraige Register for Stratford St Mary was :-
Robert Scott, Lawyer married Susannah Smith 21/7/ 1837.
robert's father was Henry and Susannah's John.

jotted it down in case it was useful to anybody here.
