Mine have all come in large envelopes....so far. Some were  a bit creased in the  early days of TNT but that problem seems to have been resolved.

I am glad they are now coming folded,at least that way it only has one neat crease in it.The A4 ones were always too large to fit in my letter box and the postman invariably used to screw it up to get it in. ::)

I must say, I've never once received a certificate that hadn't been folded...

I always send a stamped addressed foolscap envelope when I request a certificate, so it comes folded.

All of mine except one have come flat in an A4   envelope. Is that because they are usually from the same area and perhaaps 2 or 3 at a time.

I've had six certificates come today,in two A4 envelopes with three cert's in each. They arrived perfect just seven days after ordering.

I have ordered 2 from the GRO after the new postal regs and they arrived the same as always, in large separate envelopes, not folded.  :D

One was a day late, the other a week.  I like the original photocopies from the GRO.

If I order from the local registry they are folded but quicker to arrive, they are also handwritten from the entry by the clerk.  Although I have been told you can request a photocopy, if you want, but have not done this yet.

If your time limited it is easier to order online and endure the wait.  Although it does not seem to be as bad as last WDYTYA

Not so sure if they are any more...last few I've received from local offices have been photocopies by default (albeit with a slightly different paper from the GRO ones).  Perhaps it depends on the individual office...admitedly, I've only bought any from Kent recently.
