Hi Shimmy

I am related to Maxwells in Larne, my g-grandmother is Jane Maxwell born Larne 1871, Parents Hugh Maxwell and Catherine Skelly.  They lived in the Mission Lane area of Larne.  Hughs father according to his marriage certificate is Arthur Maxwell whom I suspect came from the Kilwaughter area but I still need to confirm this.

I still live in Larne and have come across some gravestones with Maxwell inscriptions if you need some help.

Hi, I have also been researching the Maxwell's from Larne, as well as Kilwaughter, Carncastle, and Grange of Killyglen.  I have this record:

28/06/1858 LARNE 2ND Presbyterian
JAMES MAXWELL, BALLYBOLEY, son of JOSEPH MAXWELL, to MARTHA MCKANE, KILWAUGHTER, daughter of WILLIAM MCKANE
Witnessed: MARGARET HOOD, MARY REA

Is Mary Rea part of who you are looking for?

To celticflower

Hugh Maxwell's parents were Arthur and Mary Maxwell, listed in the 1851 census for Druminadonaghy, Kilwaughter Parish.  Children:  Robert, John, James, Arthur, Hugh, Mary, Agnes, Adam, and Matilda.  James married Sarah Magill whose son is Charles who married Margaret McRandal.

I don't know where my Robert Maxwell who married Margaret Evans fit in, so I've been researching all Maxwell's from Kilwaughter, Carncastle, Grange of Killyglen, and Larne.

I would really like to know what gravestone inscriptions you have found.

Tory

Hi Shimmy,
I am the great great grandson of Charles and Margaret Maxwell (McRandle) who lived at 69 Old Glenarm Road (Sunnyside). My grandparents were Daniel Maxwell and Mary Anne Keenan. I have considerable information and research carried out and a family tree constructed. Would be keen to share with you cousin.
