My great-great grandmother Josephine had a son Thomas Irving, born about 1876, before she married Bryan Atkinson and had more children.  They eventually settled in Flimby where Thomas was a coal miner.  Ever run across him?

I'm interested in this Distington family. Does anyone know of a connection to the Johnstons, possibly in Flimby?  The connection could also be to  Miller or a Forster.

If I could find the connection then Thomas Irving would be my fifth cousin, once removed.
