Hi Sabrina,

Found this whilst searching for my Trembath family.

Death:9/12/1829  Giles Trembath.. St Just, Penwith at 53 years.

Also; Marriage of Edmund Trembath to Elizabeth Airs, 25/7/1803 at St Just Penwith.

Thank you so much.  This would appear to be the Giles I was looking for.  He didn't appear in the 1841 census with his wife Ann and daughter Jane.  His wife Ann was on a Govt. pension.  The film I have - the deaths stop at 1812.  I have been looking at a site //west-penwith.org.uk/just.htm  (could be a capital J for Just not sure).  There is a lot of information there.  Where did you find the death of Giles.  Not sure who Edmund is - could be a brother.  Have found no baptism for Giles.

I just searched the list of all deaths for Trembaths, didn't add forename or dates....from memory there was something interesting in the Cambourne area.
Re: The marriages: I was wandering if they were brothers who married two sisters, not unusual with the Trembaths. The name Airs is unusual in that area.

There is another site that lists all Lighthouses in or around Cornwall...from what I remember Pendeen light house wasn't built until 1800, they do give the keepers name along with their families. Sorry it was  late when I was searching I can't remember all the details.

I'll keep an eye out for Giles/Jesse as I do my own searches.

Giles Trembath b1768,married to Ann Ayres 1800

Children:
Ann, Mary b1811, William b1814, Janeb1819.

That accounts for four of the children with Giles as the father.

There is also an entry for Edmund Trembath married to Elizabeth Airs

Ambers  Thank you again.  I live in Qld. Australia, where are you and who are your Trembaths about 1800.

My interest is Eliza Trembath bap. 1816 Father Jesse Mother/ Ann.  Or I presume this to be my relation - there are a lot of Elizas and Elizabeths born about then.

I found Giles' wife Ann and daughter Jane on the 1841 census, and who was next door but Eliza and William Thomas (Eliza Trembath) Which probably shows that Jesse and Giles are one and the same.  Eliza's daughter Amelia married in Aust. 1856 to William Semmens.

I am glad you have found them, and it does look like the father Giles/Jesse  is the same person.

I live in the UK, my interest is William Trembath 1830 & Grace b1828 at  Trewellard in 1851....possibly leading to William b1807 & Eliza 1810

Sorry to be a nuisance, but I can't find Giles death records.  When I go on the west-penwith site, the only deaths I can find start at 1837.  Can you remember where you found it.  and can you talk me through it.

Not that I don't believe you, but it is best that a person actually looks at the record, before using it.  You said 09.12.1829.
