James Green of littlebeck
« on: Monday 09 October 06 16:49 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find any info on James Green's family background. I have his decedents from the time he married Elizabeth McNeil from Littlebeck Nr. Whitby around 1797..ish.
also any idea if I would be able to find any information about their daughter Jane's dates she was in Whitby workhouse? sometime between 1829 and 1851. I know she left sometime between 1841 and 1851 census, and where she was after that. but don't know how long she lived in there. :)
thanks

I am also interested in this family. I come from Elizabeth's brother James, am part of the Sneatonthorpe McNeils.
I do have some information I can share.

Having recently retired, I now have time to delve further into my family history and have just read your post. Elizabeth and James were my 5X great grandparents.
