Hi
He is on the 1891 and 1901 census returns but with a slight problem, but I'll give you the census details first then try and sort it out
1891 Census
RG12 Piece 1656 Folio 78 Page 8
High Street, Sydling St Nicholas, Dorset
John Churchill Widower 69 Shoemaker b Sydling St Nich
Arthur Cheeseman Son in Law Marr 32 Shepherd b Not known
Maria Cheeseman Daur Marr 29 b Sydling St Nich
MONTAGUE CHEESEMAN Grandson 3 b Sydling St Nich
Daisy Cheeseman Granddaur 1 b Sydling St Nich

So all is well so far, but then...........
1901 census
RG13 Piece 2005 Folio 75 Page 12
Huish, Sydling St Nicholas, Dorset
CHEESEMAN
Elias A Head Marr 46 Ord Ag Lab b Bricombe, Dorset
Maria Wife Marr 43 b Sydling St Nich
MONTAGUE J Son 13 b Sydling St Nich
Daisy Daur 11 b Sydling St Nich
Lucy A Daur 9 b Sydling St Nich
Jeffery Son 5 b Grimstone, Dorset
Alfred G Son 2 b Thornford, Dorset

The fathers name is amiss on the 1901 unless the A in Elias A stands for Arthur, then he may have used his middle name on earlier census.
There is a marriage for
ARTHUR CHEESEMAN and MARIA CHURCHILL listed in Marriage Index for
4th Quarter 1887 in Dorchester district, Dorset
Ref is
Vol 5a Page 745
I have the childrens birth registrations too if you would like them

Hi
On the 1881 census Cheeseman senior is Arthur at home with his parents, maybe the Elias was an enumerators mistake?
Anne

PS His place of birth is probably BINCOMBE rather than BRICOMBE

Sorry, I seem to have stumbled onto the other Millicent and George....
So that might be the wrong marriage...SORRY!  J.J.

Anne could this be close enough to have been his christening?
