Tolver Street St. Helens
« on: Thursday 05 October 06 17:33 BST (UK) »
I'm researching the Litherland family and I have details the birth of Alexander Litherland at 2 Tolver Street St. Helens in 1912.

Is this the address of the hospital or is it the address of a private house?

If it's a private house does anyone know which bit of the 1901 census relates to 2 Tolver Street.

I'm searching for a Mary Jane Litherland who is Alexander's mother.  There are no details of the father.

Hi v966732

1901 census
Looking at the census page for 2 Tolver Street, St Helens it was a private house. The occupants were William Myatt and family.

Tolver Street was the address of the Providence Hospital, probably why you thought your relative was in hospital...Tolver Street still there, site of the hospital is now accommodation for a housing association.
