Hi Joe, yes it would be nice but I've still got a long way to go. My fathers side of the family is proving differcult. I thought St Clair would be easy, but no!

Hi
I was in the area today so stopped off at the kirkyard.

The full inscription on the gravestone reads

Erected by
Christina Smith in memory
of her beloved husband

Charles Davidson late farmer
North Garmond who
died the 7th
January 1880 aged
71 years
deeply regreted

Also
His daughter Jane who died
in childhood the 28th May 1839

Also his son
Thomas M Davidson who died
the 29th January 1882 aged 26
years who was much respected by all who
knew him

The above Christina Smith who died
16 May 1913 aged 91 years

Also James Davidson brother
of the above Charles Davidson
died 14th January 1900 aged 82 years

Next to this stone is another for the family of Isabel Davidson who died
at Meikle Gourdas, Fyvie 16 July 1867 aged 69. Is she possibly related to Charles Davidson?

These stones are both of the ground level, horizontal type and are very worn but I manged to take some photos so send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll pass them on.

Hope this helps with your researches

Cheers

Hi Lorraine

I am a descendent of the same line.  My Grandfather was Frank davidson son of james davidson and mary Mitchell.  I know this post is very old but hope your still looking and we can compare notes.
