I think I might have a Hart connection- my g.g.g. grandfather Peter Hart born c 1811 (?where) married Agnes McNair Paisley 22 June 1832. His father was John Hart (a weaver at some time) & mother Christina Smith. Found a family search entry for a Robert Hart, father John Hart, mother Christina Smith b. 26 Feb 1807, Barony, Lanark, Scotland. Also found marriage for John Hart & Christian Smith
11 June 1804, Hamilton, Lanark. John is listed as a Soldier in the Canadian Regiment of Foot 9he could have become a weaver later - not really sure if he's my guy or not.
Cheers
Janice
