His name was james fletcher
joined in june of 1916 landed in france sometime in august and fought at the somme also took part in fighting at arras ypres then he was wounded in july 1917 on recovery went with british forces to italy and was in action on the Plave and Asiago Plateau was demobbed in january 1919
