West Ham Cemetery
« on: Tuesday 03 October 06 21:27 BST (UK) »
Would anybody be able to let me know the best way of finding the number of a burial plot in the West Ham Cemetery.  The two burials were in 1918 and 1923 for John Fletcher and Emma Louisa, his widow.
Thank you - Jenn

Hi Jenn

It would probably be worth contacting the cemetery office:

Peter Wilson - Cemetery Officer
West Ham Cemetery
Cemetery Road
Forest Gate
London
E7 9DG
Telephone: 020 8430 4148
Fax: 020 8430 4140

Give them the details of the burials and they should be able to give you the plot numbers; if you are planning a visit, they should also be able to locate the plots for you.

Regards, Bill

Hi Jenn,

When I applied for records in 2001 all they needed at that time was approximate burial dates and you have those so there should not be a problem. I also asked for the names for all that were buried in the plots in question  and these were also supplied. You never know if they were not new graves you may have some surprises!

Good Luck,

Frances :)

Hi Bill and Frances
Many thanks to you both for your help.  I am going to call the Cemetery Officer now and see what he can tell me.  A trip to the cemetery will, of course, be the next step!  Thanks again - Jenn
