LAMBERT - Essex

I am looking for the father of Alfred LAMBERT (b 1800-1802 place unknown, died c 1843).
On Alfred's marriage cert. he was b in Essex and his father was John LAMBERT, a blacksmith.
Alfred went to Ardleigh about 1820 (but where from??), married 1823 Mary Ann VINCE.  He was a butcher and innkeeper at the Red Lion Inn where his mother in law Mary VINCE was licensee and postmistress.  His wife Mary Ann died and he married Jemima HUM in 1839.

Bit tricky this one, as you say Alfred died ~1843. So really the 1841 census (index) is required. Best is to send Kevan a Personal Message (PM) asking if he could do a special lookup for you. He may be able to transcribe from the actual info??

Certainly I would say the first batch look correct, as they are all Ardleigh. Would assume Jemima is correct, so Frederick and Jemima Jnr are from the second marriage, the others from the first marriage, that would tally with facts and dates given? As for the rest???

I have some Ardleigh registers for this period.  Would you like details of Lamberts.  I have found the burial of an Alfred Lambert age 43 in Ardleigh 29 Jul 1844.

I have Lamberts in my tree too. My gggg grandad was Francis Lambert b.C1801 one of his daughters was Hannah b.C1828 in RAMSEY she married Francis Constable of Wix. Any good? I have other Lamberts if you are interested
